Depending on the technology you are using, it is quite normal to experience some freezing or delays on your platform during news or other volatile periods, simply because of the influx of data reaching your terminal. To minimize the risk of freezing, it is advisable to use the fastest possible internet connection with the highest possible hardware specifications. Hosting your platform on a VPS instead of your local hard drive would also minimize such occurrences.
You can follow these steps, depending on whether it is on your computer or mobile platform.
Computer
Try these steps:
1. Change the server by left clicking on the mouse in the bottom right hand corner and switch servers
2. Log out of your account and log back in again
3. Restart the terminal
4. Restart your computer.
5. Check your WiFi and internet connection and speed
Mobile App
Try these steps:
1. Log out of the account and log back in again by going to settings - delete account- then add account
2. Update your app by following these steps:
Firstly go to settings -About
Secondly press and hold the MT5 logo for 5 seconds until the phone vibrates
3. Restart your phone
4. Check your WiFi and internet connection and speed
If you continue to get difficulties, hosting your platform on a VPS instead of your local hard drive would also minimize such occurrences.
